What is a Credit Card?
The credit card issuer will approve a card that has a limit of a certain amount. The credit card holder can then use the card to the value of that limit. The conditions of the card is that the user must pay off the balance of the card monthly, if this is not possible then the card issuer will have a set interest charge that gets applied to the amount owing monthly. If the payment of the card balance is not made all at once then the other option is to make a minimum payment and allow the interest charge to be applied until such a time that the balance is settled.
Credit cards are usually issued by banks or financial institutions and it is common place for your bank that you use for saving will offer a credit card to you with the condition that you pass their criteria for owning one and a credit check. There are variations on the credit card such as a store card. These cards are issued by retail chains to be used in their own stores or stores that are part of their network.
